In much of the world a SIM card means registering a national ID, and paying for it means a bank account you may not be allowed to keep. Those are two gates on being connected, and either can be shut — by a government, a bank, or a border. Tizon takes both out of the path.
No ID to get online
Buying an eSIM through Tizon carries no personal data. There is no field in the API for a name, an ID or a date of birth: a purchase is an offer and a payment. Read the spec and check.
offer_id + payment_sourceNo bank to pay for it
Lightning and stablecoins settle every purchase. Unbanked, debanked, or living under capital controls, the payment still goes through.
payment_source: lightningNo capital to sell it
No float and no minimum balance, so a reseller anywhere can start with nothing in hand and keep 15% to 20% of every order, paid in bitcoin.
POST /v1/revenue/payoutsNo border to cross
An eSIM works where someone already is, with no local contract and no local registration. For people who move — by choice or not — that is the difference between connected and cut off.
GET /v1/offers?country=…
What this does not do
An eSIM rides a partner mobile network, so a full national internet shutdown still stops it, and an eSIM is not a VPN — it gives no privacy from the carrier itself. Tizon removes the identity and payment gates on getting connected. It does not replace the network.
You keep a share of every order
Commission accrues to your Revenue Centre as each order is fulfilled. There is nothing to claim, invoice or reconcile at month end: spend it as wallet credit that buys more eSIMs, or take it out over Lightning.
How earnings work- Standard under $5,000 15%
- Growth $5,000 to $50,000 17.5%
- Scale above $50,000 20%
Your rate follows your last 30 days of volume. Nobody at Tizon sets it.

An eSIM is a SIM card that’s downloaded instead of inserted. Your code never touches the phone’s hardware: you give your user a string, and their phone does the rest.

Five terms you’ll see
- eSIM
- A SIM profile stored on a chip built into the phone (the eUICC), installed over the internet instead of as a plastic card. Most travel eSIMs are data-only: no phone number.
- ICCID
- The eSIM’s unique number, 18 to 22 digits. Store it against your user: top-ups target it.
- LPA string
LPA:1$<SM-DP+ address>$<activation code>. Everything the phone needs to install the profile. Render it as a QR code.- SM-DP+
- The operator’s server the phone downloads the profile from.
- Activation code
- The last part of the LPA string, for users who type the details in by hand.
Before you ship
- The phone must support eSIM and be carrier-unlocked. Most flagship phones from 2018 onwards do.
- Installing needs an internet connection, so let users install before they travel.
- A profile usually installs once. Show the LPA only to the user who bought it.
